Atomic Technical Institute is a Washington State–licensed private vocational school based in Richland, Washington. ATI prepares students and working professionals for career pathways in nuclear, radiological, environmental, construction, industrial operations, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, quality assurance, decontamination and decommissioning, and workplace safety fields. ATI offers 8 structured 3-month career training programs designed to prepare students for trainee and entry-level jobs in high-demand technical industries. These programs help students build the foundational knowledge, safety awareness, technical understanding, and professional work habits needed to begin a career pathway in fields with strong workforce demand. ATI's 8 career training programs are: Radiological Control / Health Physics Technician Industrial Hygiene Technician Safety Specialist Environmental Technician HazMat Technician Quality Assurance Technician Operator — Chemical / Nuclear D&D Worker These programs support entry into nuclear and technical work environments such as U.S. Department of Energy sites, including Hanford, INL, LANL, and other DOE facilities, as well as commercial nuclear facilities, environmental cleanup projects, industrial operations, construction support, emergency response, quality assurance, and safety programs. Students may begin in trainee or entry-level roles, with career pathways that can lead to higher-paying, high-demand positions as they gain experience, employer qualifications, site-specific training, and industry credentials. ATI’s 8 career training programs are eligible for up to 48 college credits through a university partner, supporting workforce development, continuing education, and career advancement opportunities where applicable.
