EMR/EMT Requirements
1. A copy of a current driver’s license or state issued identification indicating that the student is 17 years or older. Must be 18 years or older by the end of the course to be eligible to complete field internship.
2. Disclose if any criminal offenses could prevent the student from obtaining licensure.
3. Highschool diploma or GED. (Not needed for EMR Level)
4. Immunization records MUST be provided by the first night of class. These are required in order to participate in the internship portion of the course. Records must include the following:
a. Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella
b. TB test results (within the last year)
c. Hepatitis B Series
d. Tetanus
e. Covid-19 Vaccine (Some clinical sites may require this)
f. Seasonal Flu Vaccine (Some clinical sites may require this)
5. All applicants must sign a release of information form to allow for a Criminal Background Check. Acceptance into the program is contingent upon an acceptable report as defined by the NREMT Criminal Convictions Policy.
6. Be physically capable of performing the duties of an EMR/EMT.
EMT IV-Tech Requirements
1. Current certification as a WA State EMT with a minimum of (1) year of experience
2. Must provide immunization status as identified in #4 of the “EMT Requirements” above
