Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation (MARINS-777) course will satisfy the revalidation requirements of Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 09-14 CH-1, and the STCW Code Section A-VI/3 and 46 CFR 11.201(h)(1), and 11.303(d), provided that the mariner has at least 1 year of sea service within the last 5 years. AND Tasks 1.3.A, 1.5.A, 2.1.A, 2.1.B, 3.1.A, 3.1.B, 4.1.A, 4.1.B and 4.1.C from NVIC 09-14 CH-1, Advanced Fire Fighting.

Prerequisite courses and other requirements

To qualify for renewing your Advanced Fire Fighting endorsement by taking this 1-day Revalidation course, you should ensure you meet the requirements for renewal of STCW Advanced Fire Fighting. A Revalidation course REQUIRES 360 DAYS of qualifying sea service on vessels that are required to hold drills. You must refer tothe USCG National Maritime Center checklist for renewal of this endorsement: https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Portals/9/NMC/pdfs/checklists/mcp_fm_nmc5_201_web.pdf.
