This training course is designed to comply with the International Maritime Organization and United States Coast Guard (USCG) training course requirements for STCW Basic Training which includes both theory and practical training as delineated in the International Convention of Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping, the Seafarer's Training, Certification and Watchkeeping Code (STCW), the United States Code of Federal Regulations, and applicable USCG National Maritime Center Policy for "Personal Safety And Social Responsibilities." Successful completion of this course will satisfy the training requirements of: 46 CFR 11.302(a)(4), 46 CFR 12.602(a)(4), and STCW Code Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-4.
