ScopeThis course is intended to comply with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and UnitedStates Coast Guard (USCG) training requirement for Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting. It includesboth theoretical and practical training as outlined in the International Convention on Standards ofTraining, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW), specifically in table A-VI/1-2 of the STCWCode as amended. The course also adheres to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), particularly46 CFR Part 11, Part 12, and Part 13, as well as USCG National Maritime Center policies.
