Basic Meteorology is intended to provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the principles ofplanning and conducting a passage with due regard to aspects of meteorology in accordance with theStandards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code, Sections A-II/1 andA-II/3 and Tables A-II/1 and A-II/3, as amended and U.S. Coast Guard regulations in Title 46 CFR, Part11. It covers all topics in the applicable module of the IMO Model Course 7.03, Officer in Charge of aNavigational Watch.
