Class B CDL ELDT. At Diamond Trucking School, Inc. we offer this course to prepare a student wishing to apply for an entry level position within the Transportation job sector, with the skills and knowledge to obtain a job requiring a Class B Commercial Driver License. This course is composed of five different areas of education. The student will spend a minimum of 40 hours in the classroom environment, a minimum of 14 hours of "behind the wheel" street driving, a minimum of 8 hours training on backing maneuvers, a minimum of 8 hours of proficiency, and a minimum of 10 hours of observation. The total minimum time for this class is 80 hours between all learning areas.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Students must possess a high school diploma, a general education development (GED) diploma, or meet entrance requirements, to include an English Language Proficiency test. All students are required to pass a Federal Drug test and DOT physical. Students must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Washington State Driver License and provide a copy of their current driving record. Students must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.

Students will be prepared to take the state of Washington's Commercial Driver's License test, having the required 80 clock hours in both classroom theory and hands on road time.
