Gyrotonic Level 1 Teacher Training

Seattle Changing Room
The Gyrotonic Level 1 teacher training program includes four sequential courses. The curriculum, teaching objectives, clock hours, method of instruction, completion documents, and course fees are all established, managed and administered by Gyrotonic International Headquarters, the entity that licenses all Gyrokinesis Instructors. Seattle Changing Room is an independent Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis studio that hosts guest instructors to teach courses in this program at the studio. Seattle Changing Room is allowed to host the first 3 in each sequence of 4 courses. The final certifying courses in each program are only held at certifying studios designated by Gyrotonic Headquarters. Seattle Changing Room is not a designated certifying studio and therefore cannot host or offer the final course in either training program and therefore also does not issue final certificates or Gyrotonic teaching licenses to individuals who successfully complete the entire program. The 3 courses in the Gyrotonic Level 1 Teacher Training program that Seattle Changing Room will host teaches students to design and teach a progressive sequence of Gyrotonic Level 1 classes on the Gyrotonic Pulley Tower and prepare students for the Final Certificate Course at a Gyrotonic HQ-designated certifying studio (not Seattle Changing Room). Students may take any one or all of the three courses at Seattle Changing Room. For example, a student may choose to take the first Pre-Training Course at Seattle Changing Room and can then select a different studio for the subsequent Foundation Course. Similarly, a student who has taken a Pre-Training Course elsewhere may choose to take their Foundation Course at Seattle Changing Room. Registration is on a course-by-course basis. Gyrotonic Headquarters tracks the progress of all instructors-in-training.

Data is unavailable for one of several reasons: In some cases, the institution has not provided the Workforce Board with data to independently evaluate program performance. We encourage all schools to provide this data on an annual basis. In other cases, the program joined Career Bridge recently and student data has not been reported yet. In other cases, the program is too small or too new to provide reliable results.
