This course should take approximately six months for full time students, or nine months for part time students. Our Manicuring course is set up to train students in consultations, artificial nails, manicures, pedicures, and the care of the nails and skin around them. Class training will include a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and lab work of live models and manikins. Both online theory and in class training will include, but are not limited to the practice of manicuring and pedicuring services, basic human anatomy and physiology, artificial nail sculpting and preparation and application and finish and removal, cleaning and shaping and polishing of the nails and hands and feet, safety of proper use and storage of chemicals and implements and electrical appliances, first aid as it relates to manicuring and pedicuring, diseases and disorders of the hands and feet, and cleaning and disinfecting of works stations and equipment and tools and linens.
