This course is to prepare a student choosing to apply for an entry level position within the transportation industry with the skills and knowledge to obtain a job requiring a Class "A" Commercial Driver License, in accordance with the Entry Level Driver Training Requirements in Part 380 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation. Upon successful completion of this course, the student must pass their final skills test with a State Examiner or Authorized Third Party Examiner. Once the student passes the skills test, they are eligible to pay the appropriate license fees at a Washington State Department of Licensing Office to add "Commercial Driver" to their Washington State Driver License.
Must be 18 years old with a valid WA State Driver's license and no disqualifying events on your driving record. Must be able to pass DOT drug test and medical exam. Must read, write, and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
