ADVANCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course prepares the student to provide intermediate prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. This includes IV Therapy, an expanded medication formulary and more in-depth assessment techniques. The course is offered to those who have completed a minimum of one year as a certified emergency medical technician. Course curriculum is based on current DOT National EMS Education Standards and requirements of the WA State Department of Health.
