Geography
You've heard the saying, "there's a time and a place for everything." Well, half of that saying is geography! Geographers strive to answer the important questions: where are the best beaches for spring break? Where are valuable minerals found? Where are migrants moving from? Geography is a combination of physical earth sciences and social sciences. From volcanic mountains to flat flood-prone plains, the Earth's natural processes create diverse natural landscapes. Throughout these courses, you'll explore how humans interact with these landscapes and create diverse societies. Geographers work in a broad range of fields including environmental science, politics, economics, transportation, and medical fields. Whatever your final degree may be, geography courses at SFCC are an excellent foundation for many careers.
