The purpose of the Cyber Security Specialist Certificate is to give students the skill sets and knowledge required to protect an organization’s information technology infrastructure and information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. Topics of the program include: information systems security, cyber security fundamentals, incident response, computer forensics, host system security, designing secure networks, technical and organizational information security risks, and implementing administrative and technical controls. Some of the courses will also assist students in achieving various network security industry certifications.
