Systems Administrator

Apprenti ETPL
A systems administrator is tasked with managing IT services and infrastructure, as well as serving as an escalation tier for IT support staff. This is a generalist position that may branch into specializations over time. Related occupational roles include IT support professionals and network security administrators. The IT support role has lower technical requirements than the systems administrator role, which gives it potential for promotion into this role (a second apprenticeship would be unnecessary). Network security administrators are systems administrators focused on networking infrastructure.
