The School Bus and Passenger Endorsement training focuses on the knowledge and skills required for commercial drivers to safely operate school buses and transport students in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL).

Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Must be 18 years old with a valid WA State Driver's license and no disqualifying events on your driving record. Must be able to pass DOT drug test and medical exam. Must read, write, and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Must pass a Washington State and FBI background check as required for individuals transporting school children (per RCW 28A.400.303)
