Montessori schools need to be guided by an administrator who deeply understands both the Montessori approach to the child and the nature of leadership, as well as the essentials of school management. This course is designed to provide experience in each of those realms. It is intended for school heads, program-level coordinators, and anyone who wishes to pursue a leadership path.

 

Pathway 1- School Administrators who are not Montessori credentialed

Pathway 2 - Montessori Credentialed Teachers or Individual  with prior school leadership experience

Pathway 3 - Individuals without admin training or a Montessori credentail

  • Work in an administrative capacity in a Montessori school with at least one Montessori classroom that meets the required environmental set-up, materials, and age range for a minimum of one academic year.
  • Has assignments integrated throughout the year, including the capstone project.
  • Three visits by a qualified field consultant are required, one must be on-site, and the other two may be virtual.
