Bloodworks Northwest

Bloodworks Northwest is a working blood center located in Seattle, WA. As a working blood center, Bloodworks has existing space and facilities required to collect and manufacture blood. Additionally, the blood center has laboratories that perform the highly specialized testing typically needed to train a Specialist in Blood Bank. This includes: Immunohematology reference, transfusion service, red cell genomic, platelet immunology, cellular therapy, and immunogenetics laboratories, and the instruments and equipment necessary to run the aforementioned laboratories. The Bloodworks facility includes multiple break spaces that students may access, with refrigerators, microwaves, and gender-neutral bathrooms. The facility is located close to public transit, as well as parking garages for a fee. This is an ADA accessible facility with handicapped ramps and lavatories, reasonable accommodation will be provided at the request of the student. The maximum class size is 6 and the student/teacher ratio is 6 to 1.
