Bluestone Cosmetology is located in a historic landmark building in Ellensburg, Washington. The school is named after the Ellensburg Blue, a rare agate found in the Teanaway formation near Ellensburg and prized for its magical luster and incredible beauty. Originally built in 1924 as a wet laundry, our 5,000-square-foot building was remodeled in 2003 to house Bluestone’s cosmetology salon. The façade of the building was restored to maintain its historical character, while the interior was remodeled to provide students with a modern facility to enhance their learning experience. The convenient location in downtown Ellensburg gives you easy access to many fine restaurants, shops, and theaters. Being a short distance to fabulous skiing and hiking areas makes Ellensburg an attractive place to live for outdoors enthusiasts. A beautiful two-hour drive over Snoqualmie Pass lands you in Seattle, a major hub for shopping, entertainment, and sports.
