Prepares students for employment in the field of residential architectural design or a related technical field, such as drawing for product manufacturers, contractors, engineering or design firms. Prior graduates have entered engineering technician positions in computer-aided drafting and design (CADD); project management assisting; specification writing, cost estimating; residential design, site planning, and developing; customer sales and service; and performing structural calculations and computations for engineering of wood trusses and joists. Students participate in realistic training activities as a part of their educational experience.
