CDL CLASS B TO CLASS A UPGRADE MANUAL/AUTOMATIC

A Class Training
A Class Training provides a comprehensive training program that is ideal for all people interested in the trucking industry, whether they have prior driving experience or not. The Class B to Class A CDL program is 80 hours. Being able to maneuver the vehicles, learning the regulations required of federal motor carriers, how to accurately keep daily logs and become familiar with the equipment of the trade are all essential in the training. The driving training will include range driving, defensive driving, basic road skills and backing skills. Students completing the program will possess the knowledge to successfully pass the State of Washington D.O.T. written examination as well as the State of Washington D.O.T. equipment road test required for employment as a driver in the transportation industry. A Class Training provides a specialized instructional program designed to prepare a student to obtain a class A commercial drivers license, which is required for a career as a Class A truck operator. During training, students are taught the necessary knowledge and skills to pass a series of tests to obtain their CDL. This program generally begins with classroom instruction geared towards passing the written exams for a CDL permit, a learner's permit that allows a student to practice driving skills on public roads with a CDL licensed instructor.
