This program prepares the student for entry-level status in the field of welding in production, job shop, or maintenance positions. Students in the program master basic welding skills by working on the same state-of-the-art equipment found in industry. The full Welding program can be completed in one or two years. Individuals wishing to upgrade skills in their current occupation or gain skills for a career change are encouraged to register. (The Certificate of Proficiency or Associate in Applied Science degree is recommended, but not required.) AWS Welder Certification is available for students enrolled in any welding class.
