Commercial Driver's License
Classes cover professional topics and prepare students for entry-level job opportunities. Classes include defensive driving techniques, brake adjustment, equipment inspection, hazardous material transportation, DOT log books, trip planning, and other job related topics. CDL Class A allows the Class A holder to drive any and all commercial vehicles as long as he/she has the endorsement for that type of vehicle (air brake endorsement, combination vehicle, tanker, doubles and triples, and hazard materials). The Certificate of Accomplishment Commercial Driver's License trains the student for all, except passenger and school bus. Regular attendance and punctuality are critical for successful completion. There will be 80 hours of classroom instruction and 160 hours of driving instruction experience.
