Tank Ship Dangerous Liquids Refresher (MARINS–504) course will satisfy the following refresher training requirements for tankerman endorsements: • 46 CFR 13.120(a)(2) – Tankerman-PIC• 46 CFR 13.120(b)(2) – Tankerman-assistant• 46 CFR 13.120(c)(2) – Tankerman-PIC (Barge)• 46 CFR 13.120(d)(2) – Tankerman-engineerThis refresher course provides training for masters, chief engineers, officers and any person with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo. It comprises a specialized training program appropriate to their duties, including oil tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations. The course takes full account of section A-V/1-1 of the STCW Code adopted by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended in 2010. Specific tables from the STCW Code addressed in this course are:• Table A-V/1-1-1 which covers the Specification of minimum standard of competence inbasic training for oil and chemical tanker cargo operations• Table A-V/1-1-2 which covers the Specification of minimum standard of competence inadvanced training for oil tanker cargo operationsThis course does not satisfy the training requirement for any original tankerman endorsement
