This course is required for Master and Chief Mate on ships of 500 gross tons or more and Chief Engineer and Second Engineer Officer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000 KW or more. A variety of exercises including use of the simulator will be utilized emphasizing teamwork skills. Leadership and Teamworking Skills: Required for Mariners seeking STCW endorsements as Officers In Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of 500 GT or more and for Mariners seeking STCW endorsements as Officers In Charge of Engineering Watch in a Manned Engine Room or Designated Duty Engineer in Unmanned Engine-room Powered by Machinery of 750KW/1000 HP.
