GYROKINESIS Teacher Training

Gyrotonic Movement Center of Seattle
To give students the skills necessary to teach the Gyrokinesis Level 1 exercise curriculum as a Gyrokinesis Trainer. The program is composed of 120 practicum hours, and 30 teaching hours and is taught in four progressive courses as outlined below. The method of instruction is a lab like setting where full physical participation and demonstration/execution of all exercises in the Gyrotonic syllabus is required.

Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Entrance Requirements: Entry level coursework for the GYROKINESIS Teacher Training program requires participation in a minimum of 10 Gyrokinesis classes taught by a licensed Certified Gyrokinesis Trainer. For continuing education courses additional requirements and pre-requisites are posted with each course description. Because of the rigorous physical demands of Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis exercise students may be required to provide a letter from their doctor that they are cleared for exercise that may include extensive standing and sitting, cardiovascular exercise, weight bearing in arms, running, spinning, upside down hanging, lifting weights equipment, climbing, stretching and strengthening prior to admission in its educational courses.
