Professional Certificate in Music for Film and Media

Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program
The Professional Certificate in Music for Film and Media is an industry-recognized post-baccalaureate program and PNWFS’ flagship program. The program is rated #4 for film scoring education by Music School Central and has been consistently featured in the Hollywood Reporter as one of the top schools in the world for students wanting to pursue a career in film scoring. The 40-week program is offered from September-July each year. Students learn from industry professionals, receiving training in all current industry software and standards. Students write and conduct music in live recording sessions with professional musicians in world-class studios preparing them for professional roles in the music, television, film, and video game industries. In addition to rigorous coursework, all students have the opportunity to work with student film directors from colleges and universities from around the world designing award-winning scores. Students earn a professional credential along with the required skills, experience, demo reel, and connections to start their career.
