Massage Therapy Training Program

Basin Massage and Integrative Studies
The Massage Therapy Training Program is designed to prepare the graduate for a successful massage therapy career targeting the general population. The program is designed to include the entry level core content as determined by the Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge (mtbok.org), the Entry Level Analysis Project (elapmassage.org) as well as the requirements for approval and licensing by Washington State Board of Massage and Washington Workforce Education Training Board. The program includes: Knowledge of massage theory practice Knowledge of essential sciences to use clinical reasoning in the performance of out-come based massage adapted to the individual client. Knowledge Skills to perform massage in a safe, effective efficient manner. Clinical lab hours to ensure student competency in clinical reasoning as well as 100 hours of massage outside of the classroom setting which is a requirement for graduation. Professional attitude and appearance to achieve a successful, ethical, compassionate practice.
