The landscape of healthcare is continually evolving, and with it, the demands on healthcare professionals adapt and expand. Respiratory therapists (RTs) remain at the forefront of this change, especially given the rising prevalence of respiratory diseases globally and the recent challenges brought about by pandemics that predominantly affect the respiratory system. At Columbia Basin College's School of Health Sciences, we recognize the need to be agile and responsive to these demands. With our existing robust infrastructure in allied health and nursing, we are well-placed to introduce a Bachelor of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy, offering a comprehensive and contemporary program that equips graduates to address current and future challenges in respiratory care.
