160 Driving Academy is adding an automatic restriction program, that will allow current CDL holders to learn to operate a manual transmission commercial vehicle to remove the automatic restriction from their current CDL. This will be a 40 hour course and be behind the wheel instruction only. Students will train with instructors for 1 week (40 hours). Students will have 1 year from CDL issue date to remove automatic restriction. Students will only be required to perform the air brake and road portion in a tractor for the skills exam after they complete the 40 hours of training.
