Students will begin with a thorough discussion on hanging, cantilevered, boiler, vessel scaffolds, structure supported suspended, structure supported tube & clamp, and suspended cable and chain scaffolds. Includes discussion on various manufacturers materials, uses, design, layout, assembly, and dismantling. Includes thorough review of federal and state regulations for CFR's and RCW/WAC including leg loads, ties, and guides, securing materials and environmental impacts. An emphasis on safety on safe rigging and signaling practices and Schedule for lab dates will be handed out the first night of class each quarter. Emphasis on safe work processes will be stressed throughout the class.
