Completion of the Landscape Design Specialization Associate of Technical Arts degree provides students with a solid foundation in ornamental horticulture. Students also develop skills in drawing and drafting, spatial and planting design as well as design and construction of landscape features. Both technical knowledge and hands-on skills are emphasized in the areas of landscape design that includes amenity gardens, edible landscaping, and restorative design. Completion of the degree prepares students to practice in a landscape design firm, municipalities, public gardens, or begin their own business. This degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 92-95 credits as outlined.
