An interdisciplinary program open to all WSU students, the sustainable organizational leadership certificate helps students develop cross-functional skills and expertise in financial, environmental, and social areas, with an emphasis on taking action to achieve an organization's environmental and resource sustainability goals. A collaboration between the Department of Sociology and the Carson College of Business, the certificate adds value to any primary area of study. Students interested in a variety of careers across the for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental sectors will find the program particularly fitting. Students pursuing the sustainable organizational leadership certificate are required to take 15 hours of sociology and/or business coursework and must maintain a C average. The 15 hours includes three required courses and two electives.
