Advanced Hybrid Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)
The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certificate program prepares students to provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation to critically ill and injured patients who access the emergency medical system. This program of study is designed to take students from Basic Life Support to Advanced Life Support skills and advanced patient assessment. Students will develop personally and professionally to handle high stress emergency situations and provide excellent care to the community. Upon successful completion of the AEMT course, you will be prepared to function as a team member in a comprehensive EMS system and be able to perform interventions with advanced equipment found on an ALS ambulance. This course encompasses 120 hours of hybrid learning with a 20-25 hour in-person skills component.
