High School Diploma or EquivalentPrerequisite courses and other requirements
18 years of age or older. Hold current National Certification at EMT level or a current State EMT Certification (verified). Verification from the Program Director that you hold Basic Life Support CPR certification (AHA or equivalent) olds a High School Diploma or GED. The following immunizations: Hepatitis B (vaccine or waiver); Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR) vaccine; TDap (vaccine or positive titer); Flu Shot (current year); Tuberculosis (negative TB test; Covid (proof of two rounds required). Clean criminal background (verify with the EMS Bureau). Drug Screening and current Medical Insurance for clinicals. The clinical site may allow waivers for certain immunizations (COVID for example). Clinical sites allow student to apply skills they learn during lab in real world situations.
