CLT Care Academy will utilize Hartman's Nursing Assistant Care The Basics 6th Edition Curriculum, WABON Common Curriculum, DSHS specialty programs Metal health, dementia, Developmental Disabilities. These programs are Washington state approved curriculum which includes workbooks, textbooks, audio and visual materials as well as printable handouts, activities, and exercises to enhance the learning environment. Fully equipped lab on site for training of the 22 required skills. With completion of course specific hours of theory, lab/skills, BLS, off site in person clinical, and passing state skills test proctored on site. All equaling total course hours. Each student meeting course requirements outlined in this handbook will receive a certificate of completion, making them eligible to register for the Washington state written and oral exam to receive state certification. This will qualify them to work in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, assisted living communities, private homes, and other care settings. Upon completion each student will have an understanding of the scope of practice related to a nursing assistant. HCA Bridge Program - 50 hours of Theory to include 32 hours of DSHS specialty courses in Mental health, Dementia, and Developmental Disabilities. certificate for each will be issued. 17.5 hours of Lab will include skills review and mock testing in preparation for state skills. 7.5 hours at clinical site for hands on observation and training. Total hours 75 required for completion Certification.
