Computer Science
The Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science from Edmonds College meets the critical and pervasive demand for rigorously trained computer science professionals. This degree program will prepare graduates to apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, emerging technologies (such as AI), and computer science theory in the design of computer and software-based systems of varying complexity. In addition, students get practical application experience through a senior capstone design project. The program prepares students for careers in multiple industry sectors including tech, finance, healthcare, energy, and many other fields. The degree also prepares students for advanced learning in computing, science, engineering, and other professional fields. Entry Requirements: Completion of an introductory programming course series such as CS& 131, CS 132 and CS 133 or CS& 141, CS 142 and CS 143. Completion of Math& 141 and either Math& 142 or Math& 146. Completion of ENGL& 101 and either ENGL& 102 or ENGR& 235. Completion of at least one natural science course with a lab component.
