CLT Care Academy will utilize Hartman's Nursing Assistant Care The Basics 6th Edition Curriculum, WABONCommon Curriculum, DSHS specialty programs Metal Health, Dementia, Developmental Disabilities. Theseprograms are Washington state approved curriculum which includes workbooks, textbooks, audio and visualmaterials as well as printable handouts, activities, and exercises to enhance the learning environment. Fullyequipped lab on site for training of the 22 required skills. With completion of course specific hours of theory,lab/skills, BLS, off site in person clinical, and passing state skills test proctored on site. All equaling total coursehours. Each student meeting course requirements outlined in this handbook will receive a certificate ofcompletion, making them eligible to register for the Washington state written and oral exam to receive statecertification. This will qualify them to work in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, assisted livingcommunities, private homes, and other care settings. Upon completion each student will have an understandingof the scope of practice related to a nursing assistant.
