The third year course focuses on project procedures and practices of skills for underground construction and paving with an emphasis in excavation safety, procedures, and related mathematics. Discussions will include environmental concerns and issues common with site excavations and materials used in the paving processes. Students will also receive hands-on training in hoisting; rigging; slinging and signal person skills; scaffold safety; fall protection safety; and construction equipment training.
