This is not a new program, but the form would not allow me to upload this follow-up information since the portal changed without listing The Bridge Nursing Assistant training program allows Home Care Aides-Certified (HCA-C) to become Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC). It "bridges" the knowledge gap between what an HCA is taught and what a NAC needs to know. The Sunrise NAC Bridge program is a 38-hour course divided into five days: 17 hours of theory classroom training, 13 hours of skills training and practice, and 8 hours of clinical practice. By the end of the course, the student will be ready to take the Washington State NAC licensing test. Sunrise will host the certification skills test one week after class completion. The written test is completed online after the skill test is passed.
