The Hybrid Dental Assisting Program at Accelerated Academy is designed to prepare students for a career in dental assisting in just 10 weeks through a structured combination of online learning and hands-on clinical training. The program consists of 80 total clock hours, including: 40 hours of online instruction delivered through Canvas; 40 hours of in-person, hands-on clinical training. Flexible Online Learning. Students complete weekly online modules at their convenience prior to attending their scheduled clinical sessions. All course materials are available at the start of the program and include: Instructional videos; Reading materials; Assignments and quizzes; Supplementary learning resources. Each module is designed to build progressively, ensuring a clear and organized learning experience. Students must complete all required coursework before attending their corresponding in-person training session. To ensure mastery of the material, students are required to achieve a score of 100% on all Knowledge Checks and Module Quizzes, with unlimited retake opportunities provided. This approach reinforces comprehension and builds confidence before moving forward. Hands-On Clinical Training. In-person clinical sessions are led by experienced instructors and focus on developing real-world dental assisting skills. Students will receive training in: General chairside assisting; Dental specialties; Radiography procedures. During each session, students rotate through a minimum of three clinical stations that align with the weekly course material. These stations change and progress throughout the program, allowing students multiple opportunities to practice and refine their skills in a supportive environment. Career Preparation & Certification. As part of the program, students will receive Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR training, an essential certification for dental assistants. Additionally, Accelerated Academy provides job interview preparation and career coaching, helping students confidently transition into the workforce. Program Completion. Students who successfully complete all program requirements will be awarded a Certificate of Completion, signifying they have gained the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to pursue employment in the dental assisting field.z

Age Requirement:● A person must be 17 years of age or older.Educational Requirement:A person must have successfully completed high school or have completed a high school equivalency course.During the enrollment process, students will be asked “Have you obtained a diploma from high school, college, or GED?”● If Yes, the student will complete an attestation stating:○ “In adherence to Accelerated Academy’s entrance requirements, I attest that I have graduated from an accredited high school, obtained a GED, or obtained a High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). If requested by Accelerated Academy, I can furnish proof of the above.”OR:● If No, The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test may be used as an alternative to a high school diploma or equivalent for program admission as an ability to benefit entrance exam.○ During the enrollment process, interested students will receive an exam invitation along with detailed instructions. To qualify for admission, students must achieve a score recognized as meeting GED (General Educational Development) standards.○ If the required score is not achieved, admission will be denied. The exam must be completed within 14 days of receiving the invitation. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the cancellation of enrollment, and all fees paid will be refunded.Educational Requirement for High School Seniors:High School Seniors may attend the course prior to graduation if they meet the following standards:● Must be scheduled to receive his/her high school diploma within six (6) months of the course end date; and● A letter must be submitted by the student’s high school counselor or administrator verifying the student’s enrollment and anticipated graduation date; and● Based on Washington requirements, high school seniors that wish to enroll are required to complete an Ability To Benefit (ATB) exam that is approved by the US Department of Education. An exam invitation and instructions will be provided to the student during the enrollment process. The student must achieve a score that is recognized as meeting GED (General Educational Development) Levels in order to be accepted into the program. If the student does not achieve the required score, admission will not be granted. The ATB exam MUST be completed within 14 days of receiving the exam invitation, or the student’s enrollment will be canceled and all monies paid will be refunded.
