Breast Ultrasound

Bellevue College ETPL
The Breast Ultrasound Certificate of Achievement is designed for Mammographers or Sonographers who want to gain certification in breast ultrasound. Reviews anatomy and physiology of the breast as well as all types of breast pathologies. Includes orientation to sectional imaging of the breast, correlation with mammographic and MRI images, and characterization of normal and abnormal findings from a sonographic viewpoint. The Breast Ultrasound Lab allows the student to develop a sonographic imagine technique, and the clinical practicum provides practice in a variety of clinical situations. Enrollment in the clinical practicum is not guaranteed and dependent upon grades, site availability, and approval. Content covers all areas included in the breast specialty exam offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
