Core Translation and Interpreting

Designed for early-career translators or interpreters with a few years of work experience, or those just starting in the industry and interested in earning a certificate to help their career, this 6-month certificate program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the translation & interpreting fields. It is composed of four embedded courses: Interpreting Fundamentals, Translation Fundamentals, Terminology & Technology, and Professional Practice. By the end of the program, students will be able to apply professional conventions and behavior norms, code of ethics, industry technology, and terminology. Students will also learn how to effectively manage and market a private practice.
