The Information Technology Specialist program prepares students for careers that focus on computer and network support with an emphasis on both practical experience and certification preparation. Students learn to diagnose and resolve computer problems with software and hardware, use virtualization and cloud computing technologies, and learn about computer security and network systems. Possible certifications students can obtain include certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, Amazon, or Cisco. Possible careers include Information Technology support technician, computer support specialist, desktop support technician, and network support positions.
