This course should take approximately six months for full time students, or nine months for part time students. Our Esthetics course is set up to train students in consulting, skin care, facials, make up design and applications, and waxing. Class training will include a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and lab work of live models and manikins. Both online theory and in class training will include, but are not limited to the theory of esthetic services, business practices, basic human anatomy and physiology, care of skin compresses and massage and facials and wraps and mask and exfoliation, use of chemical compounds, temporary removal of hair by waxing and tweezing and chemicals and tape and sugaring and lotions and creams and threading, cleaning and disinfection of work stations and tools and implements, proper use and storage of linens, diseases and disorders of the skin, safety use and storage of chemicals and implements and electrical appliances, and first aid as it relates to esthetics.
