This course should take approximately eight months for full time students, or ten months for part time students. Our Barber course is set up to train students in consultations, cutting, trimming, styling, and shaving of the hair. Class training will include a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and lab work of live models and manikins. Both online theory and in class training will include, but are not limited to the history of barbering services, basic human anatomy and physiology, shampooing and conditioning of the hair, hair and scalp analysis, hair cutting and trimming, cutting and trimming of facial hair and ears and brows, mustache and beard design and shaving, wet and dry hair styling, cleaning and disinfecting of work station and equipment and tools, proper use and storage of chemicals, safety use of implements and appliances, and first aid as it relates to barbering.
