HCA Learning Plan 5
HCA Learning Plan 5 is designed for caregivers who have already completed population-specific training, such as (but not limited to) Mental Health, Dementia, or Nurse Delegation, and need to complete the remaining requirements for Home Care Aide (HCA) certification in Washington State. It includes Orientation and Safety, Core Basic training, and online skills training to meet certification requirements. This option is ideal for caregivers who want a fully online, self-paced pathway to certification.
This Learning Plan Includes:
Orientation and Safety
Core Basic training
Online skills lab with video demonstrations and assignments
Core Basic review and final exam
Students will be required to submit their DSHS-approved population specific certificate(s) in order to complete this program. Upon completion, students will receive a DSHS 75 hour Home Care Aide (HCA) certificate.
