HCA Learning Plan 1
HCA Learning Plan 1 prepares caregivers to become a certified Home Care Aide (HCA), a required credential for working in Washington State long-term care settings. It fulfills the full 75-hour training requirement through Orientation and Safety, Core Basic training, skills practice, and specialty courses.
Learning Plan 1 includes all required courses for caregivers who plan to work in residential care settings, as it includes both Mental Health and Dementia specialty training.
This option is ideal for new caregivers who prefer a fully online, self-paced learning experience.
This Learning Plan Includes:
Orientation and Safety
Core Basic training
Online skills lab with video demonstrations and assignments
Mental Health Level 1
Dementia Level 1
Upon completion, students will receive a DSHS 75 hour Home Care Aide (HCA) certificate.
