Writing Trauma, Healing, and Resilience

Using the craft of writing in multiple genres, students will explore the possibilities of writing as both a trauma intervention and resilience-building practice. To understand how trauma impacts individuals, communities, and the broader world this certificate will include study and skills-building in understanding systemic oppression related to race, disability, gender, sexuality, age, immigration status, and more, with the goals of transformation for individuals and the building of inclusive communities.
