This major is an interdisciplinary, liberal arts and sciences course of study that focuses on the interactions between humans and the natural environment. Students examine the structure and function of natural systems and the ways that human social, political and economic activity affect those systems. Students also develop ideas and skills needed to constructively engage in the solution of environmental issues. This degree program includes innovative new delivery of applied science online as well as active learning opportunities for non-traditional students in the Internship and Capstone courses.
