In the fourth to ninth week, the student will work a 20-hour-a week externship, which the instructor arranges for the student. The student gets classroom training before, during and after the externship to supplement practical learning.

Students cannot register online. You must have permission from the instructor to be accepted into the class. PNURS292 is the prerequisite for this class. There is a packet that must be submitted to the instructor. Contact instructor for a packet and the exact due dates at tross@batestech.edu. Please send completed packet by email to tross@batestech.edu. Class is every Thursday night at 6 p.m. The clinical experiences are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 120 hours must be completed in the clinical setting. Students must be able to read/write English. Students must have email. A personal computer is required for this class.
