HCA Learning Plan 2
HCA Learning Plan 2 prepares caregivers to become a certified Home Care Aide (HCA), a required credential for working in Washington State long-term care settings. It fulfills the full 75-hour training requirement through Orientation and Safety, Core Basic training, skills practice, and population specific courses. Learning Plan 2 includes all required courses for caregivers who plan to work in home care or private-duty settings, where Mental Health and Dementia are not required. This plan is also appropriate for caregivers who have already completed Mental Health and Dementia training. This option is ideal for new caregivers who prefer a fully online, self-paced learning experience. This Learning Plan Includes: Orientation and Safety; Core Basic training; Online skills lab with video demonstrations and assignments; Nurse Delegation Core; Nurse Delegation - Special Focus on Diabetes. Upon completion, students will receive a DSHS 75 hour Home Care Aide (HCA) certificate.
